“The older children are pre-teens and teenagers and tend to take showers on their own more often. I don’t manage their washing, they are more than capable of taking care of their own hygiene,” said the mother of six.
Johnson chooses certain days of the week for bath time because Wednesday is the middle of the week and Sunday is when the family attends church. Washing guidelines to help the busy mom stay on schedule.
“Washing habits are very personal. You never know how someone else’s body reacts to soap, frequent wetting, you don’t know about people’s health problems, the climate they live in, or what their doctors recommend,” the woman said.

“Reading all the comments, especially those that support our washing habits, I am grateful. It’s intriguing to see how this conversation plays out, and also a little disappointing that so many people don’t understand that not everyone in the world is doing the same thing,” Johnson said.
