The KPU held an open plenary meeting to recapitulate the 2024 election vote count nationally involving witnesses from political parties to presidential and vice presidential candidates. During the meeting, candidate pair witnesses criticized the Electronic Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap) used KPU.
The meeting was held at the KPU office, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (28/2/2024). KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy’ari chaired the meeting. The KPU commissioners who attended were Yulianto Sudrajat, M Afifuddin, and Idham Holik.
One of the witnesses from candidate pair number 3 Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MdAl-Munardir, considers the calculation process used in Crap it actually caused a commotion.
“Sirekap’s legal certainty has created a stir at almost all plenary levels, there are different understandings, some say it is the basis, some don’t,” said Munardir at the hearing.
Witness from candidate pair number 1 Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin), Mirza Zulkarnaen, also commented on Sirekap. Witness candidate pair number 1 pushed for transparency in Sirekap.
“That’s why we, as candidate pair 01, have reminded us to invite other parties to audit whether the application is feasible,” he said.
“What we were worried about actually happened because of Sirekap, right? Many of my friends are also from candidate pair number 1, from the supporting coalition, the votes went crazy, from 20 thousand votes there were only 500, from 281 thousand votes there were zero, that was due to the Sirekap application as if the application was playing around,” he continued.
On the same occasion, Hasyim Asyari said that the vote counting process was carried out in stages using the C.Results Plano form, not the one in Sirekap.
“The plan results come from inside the box which is opened and then broadcast. When it is broadcast, if what is broadcast is not synchronized, then the basic form used is the form in the (sound) box,” said Hasyim.
