León.- While the Guanajuato Health Secretariat (SSG) has remained firm in not accepting the vaccines Rather contra Covid-19the Federation has already begun to provide doses of said cuban laboratory to the pharmacies of the clinics IMSS.
At least that’s what a sign in one of the windows of Clinic 21, located on Coral Street, between Juárez and Venustiano Carranza Boulevard, indicating that it already has the Abdala vaccine to apply them to minors, older adults and people with any morbidity or diseases such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension or asthma.
The SSG has questioned the effectiveness of this cuban product because it lacks legality, verification and other certifications that are required to promote the well-being of the population, in addition to the fact that said vaccine is not endorsed by the World Health Organization (OMS).
“The spirit of the Guanajuato Health Secretariat is to continue working with that safety line of patient protection,” the SSG emphasized in a statement.
The Abdala vaccine is already applied in IMSS clinics in León.
As if that were not enough, the federal representative Ector Jaime Ramírez Barbashared on social networks that the Federal Security Secretariat increased the expiration date of the Abdala vaccines in order to continue applying them.
“They promote false protection against the disease, they play with the health of the population! “These vaccines are useless, but they are applied even in schools,” she wrote on Twitter.
For now, in Guanajuato has not officially started the vaccination of vulnerable people against Covid-19 because since Federation has not yet sent the required vaccine, although the delegate of the IMSS in the entity Marco Antonio Hernandez Carrillohad already learned that Abdala’s doses would reach Guanajuato and in their institutes they would apply it, as has already happened, since they are currently being offered.
Having said the above, it will be the decision of each person to attend or not. IMSS to get vaccinated against Covid-19 with the Cuban vaccine or wait for the Federation send certified vaccines from brands that have already proven effective.
