Controversy Erupts Over Influencers Joining the Dubbing Cast of “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”

Recently, through social networks, it has been announced that new names are added to the dubbing cast of the highly anticipated Sony Pictures film, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”. Among the new members are Juan Guarnizo, Andrés Navy, Alex Montiel, Pipe Punk and Melissa Robles, who will be part of this exciting project.

However, since this decision was announced, there has been an avalanche of criticism. Users on social networks expressed their outrage at the inclusion of influencers in the dubbing cast instead of actors who have spent years perfecting their technique.

Not only the followers of the arachnid character showed their discontent, but also well-known Mexican dubbing actors. Juan Alfonso Carralero, known for lending his voice to Will Smith in some of his films, described Sony Pictures as “miserable” for including influencers in the cast of “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.”

Carralero commented on his social networks: Why are there schools like Magic Voices or @AftermoonF, just so that miserable people like @SonyPicturesMX put up adventurers who aren’t actors? We better open a TikTok and YouTube channel, and they will get roles in big movies.”
