Controversy Erupts Over Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” Film Featuring Bhagavad Gita in Sex Scene

New Delhi ∙ The famous director Christopher Nolan has made a visual explosion in the theaters with the life story of Oppenheimer, who is described as the father of Atombob. But a scene in the movie sparked controversy in the country. A section of the film has come out against the film by alleging that there is a scene where the Bhagavad Gita is read aloud during sexual intercourse.

Sharing the press release of the Save Culture Save India Foundation, Central Government Information Officer Uday Mahukar asked how the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) gave permission for this film to retain such a scene. The Save Culture Save India Foundation has also demanded that the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting investigate the incident and take action against those concerned.

The film received an R-rating but was given a U/A certificate in India. The film was released in India after cutting down some of the physical scenes. Christopher Nolan has adopted the film structure of a courtroom drama that combines psychology and criminal investigation.
