Rockstar has removed the name of developer Grove Street Games from the home screen of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Remastered. The CEO of the developer is very rude about that.
Last week a big update suddenly appeared for the trilogy, which was released in 2021 in a state of complete garbage. Many improvements from the smartphone version have been transferred to the console version. And sure enough, the games look much better than before. The light is especially praised by fans online. Thanks to the ‘Classic Lightning’ option, it looks like original games.
It’s all fine and dandy, you might say, but that’s not entirely true. Still, an uproar has arisen. Rockstar has removed the name of Grove Street Games, the original developer of the remasters, from the home screen. That’s because Grove Street Games is not the developer of the mobile versions.
Thomas Wilson, the CEO of the development studio, is very disappointed about it. He calls it a “dick move”.
Fans then pointed out that the developer is still mentioned in the credits so it only applies to the home screen. He didn’t answer that again. Anyway, fans are totally kicking the best man into the ground. How great, that social media…

What are some of the biggest challenges you faced during the development of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Remastered version, and how did they impact the project?
I. Introduction of Guests and Topic Discussion
Interviewer: Good day, ladies and gentlemen. Today, we have with us two esteemed guests, Thomas Wilson, CEO of Grove Street Games, and Jane Doe, a well-known gaming journalist, to discuss the recent developments surrounding the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Remastered version.
Thomas Wilson: Thank you for having me. It’s an honor to be here.
Jane Doe: The pleasure is mine. Let’s get straight to the point. What are your thoughts on Rockstar’s decision to remove your developer’s name from the game’s home screen?
MR. WILSON: Well, I think it’s a bit of a “dick move,” as I stated earlier. We put our hearts and souls into this project, and it feels like our contribution is being overshadowed or minimized. The home screen is an essential part of any game, and it’s disheartening to see our name taken away.
II. Detailing the Development Process
Interviewer: Could you provide more background on the development process for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Remastered version? Specifically, your involvement in the project?
Thomas Wilson: Absolutely. Grove Street Games was initially contracted by Rockstar to develop the mobile version of the GTA trilogy. Our team spent countless hours bringing these classics to smartphones, and we’re extremely proud of the work we did. When Rockstar decided to release a console version, they asked us to help port the game over. We did so with great enthusiasm, but it seems they didn’t need our name on the home screen.
Jane Doe: I see. How did you feel about the original release of the remastered version? Did you anticipate this level of backlash from fans?
MR. WILSON: I think everyone was surprised by the state of the original release. It was clear that it hadn’t gone through proper testing or quality control, but we all hoped that Rockstar would address those issues quickly. Unfortunately, the fan response was quite negative, and I don’t think anyone expected it to be this severe.
III. Addressing Fan Concerns and Fe
