Elon Musk often gives controversial opinions. This time the latte lover is the target. This is what the world’s billionaire said about adults who like lattes.
There are many coffee lovers in the world, but not a few people who like only black coffee. Many of them prefer coffee mixed with milk. One of the famous, latte.
Compared to cappuccino, the taste of a latte is more milky because the key to making a latte is in the process of steaming the milk. To quote Otten Coffee (22/3), this process aims to heat milk to the right temperature and produce micro foam that is smooth and not thick.
In essence, the composition of the latte consists of a double shot of espresso, steam milk and micro foam. When you sip, traces of milk (milky) will really taste from a cup of latte.
Elon Musk also has an opinion about lattes. On March 20, 2023, he tweeted, “Lattes are really just an adult excuse to order warm milk without sounding like a baby.” At the time of writing, Elon Musk’s tweet had been viewed 40 million times.
After expressing his opinion which tends to be controversial, the 51 year old man added, “Cappuccino/latte art is fun.” These two tweets immediately attracted the attention of netizens, especially coffee lovers.
“Latte is an adult drink compared to what many people drink at Starbucks these days,” said one netizen. “Elon sounds very fragile this weekend. Sir, do you need a hug,” joked a netizen who disagreed with Elon’s opinion about lattes.
“Latte is really just an excuse for coffee shops to charge $7 for something that only costs 30 cents,” said another netizen who agreed with Elon. “I ordered a latte today. Not angry with this (Elon’s opinion),” said a netizen.
Previously, Elon Musk had also reaped controversy after saying that he prefers to eat well rather than eat healthy. To quote CNBC (9/5/2020), Elon Musk once revealed that he is a connoisseur of good food.
“I prefer to eat well even though it has a shorter lifespan,” he said. He also judged the food is the best thing. Even so, he still pays attention to his weight and health condition, especially since his mother is a senior nutritionist.
Regarding favorite food, Elon Musk answered sweet foods like Mars chocolate. He even eats chocolate for breakfast. Elon Musk also likes to eat Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavored cereal.
