A man in Rajeg District, Tangerang Regency caused a stir with his statement defend Israel. On the other hand, he insulted Palestinian supporters as ‘brainless’.
It was later discovered that the creator of the video was named Arif Andriawan. Following the video going viral, Arif Andriawan was arrested by the police.
The video was spread on social media. In the viral video recording, it can be seen Arif Andriawan it was being recorded by a man and expressed his support for Israel but while insulting Palestinian supporters.

“If Israel or Palestine, I support Israel. If Israel’s supporters definitely have brains. If you support Palestine, your brain doesn’t exist. Palestine does not lack money, but lacks justice,” Arif said in the video.
“Are you ready to go viral? Are you ready to be responsible for what you say?” the video recording man asked Arif.
“Ready…ready,” answered Arif.
Not only that, Arif Andriawan also made an insulting video Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Zuhair Al Shur.
“Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb. Dear Palestinian leadership, the late Palestinian President Mr. Mahmoud Abbas. The late Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia Mr. Zuhair Al Shur. With all my disappointment here, I convey a sensation of hate speech disrupting public order in Indonesia . I swear by Allah SWT that I support Israel. I am Arif Andriawan for a just and prosperous world. Thank you.” said Arif’s statement.
The perpetrator was arrested by the police
Arif’s controversial video went viral on social media and gave rise to comments pro and con. Rajeg Police also intervened to secure Arif.
“It was (secured) when I received the video, I immediately went to his house at 13.30 WIB, coincidentally he was still at his house, I immediately secured it and took him to the police,” said Rajeg Police Chief Iptu Hajaji, to detikcomSaturday (4/11).
Reasons the Police Detain the Perpetrator
Hajaji said that his party was securing Arif to prevent conflict in society. Because his words can cause a reaction from society.
“Some people do not accept these words which went viral on social media and caused the corporation to be tarnished,” he said.
