A video clip that was widely circulated on social networks sparked great controversy in circles that follow Al Hilal Club, as the clip claimed that Brazilian star Neymar da Silva, the Al Hilal player, appeared in it with the well-known YouTuber “Speed” in Brazil.
The video was posted in the early hours of Monday morning by a Speed fan page on the Twitter platform, accompanied by a comment referring to his meeting with Neymar in Brazil.
This announcement sparked mixed reactions, as some of Al Hilal’s competitors took advantage of it to point out that the Brazilian player had “betrayed” the team by traveling to his homeland instead of heading to Dubai to complete his rehabilitation program after cruciate ligament surgery.
A well-known media personality commented on the clip, saying: “On the field he was walking and limping, and now he is dancing,” in reference to Neymar’s last appearance at the Kingdom Arena, where the player went down to the field and walked around to greet the fans.
On the other hand, an official from Al Hilal’s management confirmed to us that the Brazilian player is already in Dubai to complete his rehabilitation program, and that the clip circulating is not of Neymar himself, but of a lookalike in Brazil, not Dubai.
Looking at the details in the video, it was noted that there are no tattoos on the hand of the person shown with “Speed”, which confirms that he is merely a lookalike of the Al Hilal star and not Neymar himself, who has a tattoo on his hand, which clears his name from the distortion attempts made by some tweeters.
