Controversial Teaser Promo for Ramadan Series “Amir Al-Awamri” Sparks Comparison to Late Artist’s Words

The company that produces the series “Amir Al-Awamri”, starring the artist Hani Salama, revealed the teaser promo for the work scheduled to be shown in the upcoming Ramadan race.

Hani Salama appeared in the promo of the series saying: “I am the flood that moves people like brides. With a gesture from my hand, I determine who will rise to the seventh heaven and who will descend to the seventh earth. I do not go with the flow because I am the flow… I am the prince of Al-Awamiri.”

Immediately after its publication, the promo sparked great controversy on social media after the audience linked the words of the action hero Hani Salama in the promo to the words of the late artist Khaled Saleh in the movie “The President Omar Harb,” which also starred Hani Salama.

A number of audience members recalled what the late artist Khaled Saleh said in the movie “President Omar Harb”: “No one here can be hostile to me. Everyone here works for me. I use all people with their true personalities. People think they are doing what they want, but they are doing what I want. The world.” This is all mine, I am the manager of all the employees and the corrupt,” linking the words of Hani and Khaled in the two works, confirming the influence of the series’ author on the film.

It is noteworthy that the series “Amir Al-Awamri” stars: Hani Salama, Sawsan Badr, Mai Selim, Ahmed Safwat, Mirhan Hussein and Mohsen Mohieldin, and is written by Ahmed Sobhi and directed by Mohamed Al-Naqli.
