Controversial Role: Disgust and Criticism Surround Sergei Bezrukov’s Performance in “Gentlemen, Good Luck”

Only the lazy did not criticize the actor for this role.

In recent years, one after another, domestic filmmakers have been riveting remakes or sequels of cult Soviet films. No one has yet managed to even come close to the success of the original, but one film caused real disgust among viewers. What is most surprising is that the main role in it is played by Sergei Bezrukov.

In 2012, the film “Gentlemen, Good Luck” was released. Inspired by the new “Irony of Fate,” Timur Bekmambetov decided to bring another story beloved by viewers to modern times. Instead of a criminal nicknamed Associate Professor, the hacker Smiley took over. His role was played by Bezrukov.

The film’s ratings are very low on all platforms. Unlike the characters in the first “Gentlemen,” you don’t want to sympathize with the heroes of this film at all. The plot of the film is called incoherent and incomprehensible, and the acting is disgusting, including the stars of “Brigade”. What surprises viewers most is that Bezrukov, being a famous artist with excellent roles, agreed to participate in this disgrace.
