True, the director was unable to repeat the success of the original film. The film did not become popular, receiving a lot of negative reviews from both critics and viewers. “The Man from Capucino Boulevard” was called not just a secondary and boring film, but also a spit in the face of fans of the 1987 masterpiece. The creators were accused of lack of originality, vulgarity and poor casting.
