Comedian Semyon Slepakov*, who escaped from Russia, parodied SHAMAN’s (Yaroslav Dronov) song “I’m Russian” by publishing a video on social networks. Users left a lot of indignant comments on his page.
The parody is the complete opposite of the hit SHAMAN, replete with inverted phrases and caricatured features that are supposedly inherent to a person of Jewish origin.
“Non-Russian – I don’t go all the way. Non-Russian – instead of matzo bread. Non-Russian – let’s face it: a Jew. For many, it’s even worse than being gay,” sings Slepakov*.
Many users immediately announced that they were unfollowing the comedian. Many left negative comments.
“Thank you, Semyon, for leaving! Never go back. It’s so good that you’re non-Russian!”, “Unsubscribe”, “You used to be funny, but now…”, “There’s nothing more to talk about, just about Russia? What wretchedness”, “Semyon. Do not embarrass yourself. Don’t be like Maxim Galkin”*, “Are there no other topics for jokes besides Russians and Russia? Since you have left, renounced, build your life, work, humor on new topics”, “They no longer know how to attract attention to themselves and justify their flight”, “Who would you be without Russia, no one would ever know about you” , – users are indignant.
As reported EADaily, Slepakov* was included in the register of individuals-foreign agents of the Ministry of Justice on April 14 of this year. The department explained that the artist received support from foreign sources, opposed the special operation, formed a negative attitude towards military service and public service in general, and spoke negatively towards Russian citizens.
In May, Slepakov* decided to protest his foreign agent status by filing a lawsuit against the Ministry of Justice. However, the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow at a meeting on June 2 refused the artist’s application.
At the end of October it became known that the comedian had sold an apartment in the center of Moscow. Housing area of 217 sq. meters was put up for sale immediately after Slepakov* left for Israel. Then the apartment was valued at 295 million rubles.
