Controversial Paraguayan Preacher “Frees” Young Man from Spirit of Crime and the Mad Horse

Lambaré: Controversial preacher José Duarte “freed” a young man from the “spirit of crime and the mad horse” that allegedly forced him to steal. He asserted that this spirit originated in the United States and was common in the rivers of Paraguay.

Once again, the self-proclaimed Paraguayan prophet Duarte took center stage, this time rescuing a young man from a spirit that was forcing him to commit crimes on a motorcycle.

“I command this spirit to leave the body. This spirit comes out of the water, it has the body of a lizard, I just saw it. Leave the body,” says the controversial preacher in a video of a religious gathering. “This spirit comes out of the water, out of the river, it gets inside you, makes you get on a motorbike and commit crimes, steal,” he added.

“The spirit of the motorcycle bandits or the mad horses comes from the United States. This is what is taught in spiritual combat. It is native to our rivers. They are ancestral spirits that are in the waters,” the sect leader told those present.

The “possessed” young man says in his statement that he actually rode his motorcycle to steal and once even shot his victim.

Duarte, head of the Lambaré religious community accused of noise pollution, had risen to public prominence after performing telematic exorcisms. He himself is in charge of the Ejército de Avivamiento del Reino de Dios in Lambaré, where he welcomes his followers who consider him a “prophet” and from where he also casts out demons.

His sect is constantly at the center of controversy, first over a noise complaint from neighbors and then over expanding its premises without plans approved by the municipality.

The “Prophet” even warned that “tragic things will happen to journalists” and dared to claim that “many will get cancer” after they made the case public.
