“Controversial no-penalty call in Brommapojkarna vs IFK Göteborg match”

After 32 minutes into the match between Brommapojkarna and IFK Göteborg, Blåvitt wanted a penalty when Gustaf Norlin fell in a duel with Torbjørn Lysaker Heggem, but the referee refused. Norlin reacted forcefully, slapping his hands several times on the ground, and fellow players ran to the referee and complained.

The match ended 0-0 and afterwards there was an uproar among Blåvitt’s players.

– I think it is clear. I know I’m on the ball first. The referee disagreed but I know the AD (assistant referee) thought it was a penalty, says Norlin.

– It’s a frustration that has built up because we don’t have the margins on our side. We’ve had several situations this season that we haven’t gotten our hands on.

Even the coach Alexander Tengryd thinks it should have been a penalty.

– I feel that it is punishment, he says.

But one who disagrees is Torbjørn Lysaker Heggem. He is sure of his cause.

– I am sure that I hit the ball and that it is the right decision with a corner. The judge was absolutely right not to impose a penalty, he says.
