Rapper Emis Killa responds to the accusations and talks about “story telling”, the telling of a story. On Instagram he is indignant and says: “Story telling means telling a story in rhyme, whether good or bad. In the case of the piece mentioned – written 7 years ago, specifies the rapper – I interpret, invent, tell facts which unfortunately, although unpleasant things happen.”

The regional councilor and national coordinator of the Democratic Party Marta Bonafoni asks the Lazio Region not to finance the event: «The choice of the Municipality of Ladispoli is a wrong and dangerous choice. Entrusting the show in the square on New Year’s Eve to rappers who with their songs almost seem to encourage violent behavior against women and girls is, among other things, an unacceptable betrayal of what last Saturday’s great mobilization asked of the institutions. I hope that the Presidency of the Regional Council responds with a firm no to the request for contribution made by the Municipality. Better that that money be allocated to other initiatives, capable of questioning that patriarchy of which, unfortunately, we still see too much evidence and of which we suffer the most tragic consequences.”
Also councilors of the Ladispoli Democratic Party they rebelled: «Emis Killa responded to the criticism by saying that “he wanted to raise awareness of the issue of feminicide” with a crude narrative. We believe that another narrative should come from an incisive presence like that of the rapper, one of solidarity for women and condemnation for murderers.”
While the poster of the event circulates among the negative comments on Ladispoli’s social groups, Alessandro Giovannetti of the Italian Left comments: «With the sanctity of the nativity, under the sign of God, Homeland and Family, the local right shows the desire to stay close to the very young, addressing the most popular topics: cocaine, pussy, luxury cars, guns and gratuitous violence.”
