Spacey is going to act in the historical drama film 1242 – Gateway to the West, about the Mongol leader Batu Khan. For the actor, it is his first major project since he was sidelined from the Netflix series in 2017 House of cards for allegations of sexual misconduct. Actor Anthony Rapp revealed that he was groped by Spacey when he was 14. More accusations followed.
Last year, Spacey already got a small role in an Italian filmbut the in 1242 will be of a different caliber. The film is about the invasion that Batu Khan, the grandson of Genghis Khan, led in Europe and how a meeting with a spiritual man and a castle in Hungary marked the end of his advance.
