“As we argue today, Lamor Whitehead abused a parishioner’s trust in him, harassed a businessman for $5,000 and then tried to defraud him of much more and lied to federal agents. Their campaign of fraud and deception stops now,” Damian Williams, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, said in a statement.
