The developers have delayed the premiere and, according to the latest information, Control Ultimate Edition is to debut on the market early next year. Some players hope that the publisher will change their mind and provide a free update.

Remedy Entertainment for two months tackles critical comments about Control Ultimate Edition. The developers won’t provide a free update, so customers need to buy a new version of the game – the authors won’t even let you make a smaller donation to unlock the upgrades.
Only selecting Control Ultimate Edition on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will allow you to upgrade the title in the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S versions.
Control Ultimate Edition should hit the market in 2020, but the developers decided to delay the debut. The developers want to deliver the best quality, so the refreshed adventure will debut in early 2021.
Some fans believe the publisher has changed their mind and will be upgrading Control to Control Ultimate Edition next year, but I will be very surprised if that happens. I even get the impression that the delay is due to players not complaining about smaller changes and now we will get some nice scenes, but we will have to pay for everything.
