At around 20 on Friday night, the fire brigade has control of two forest fires along the Gjøvik line in Maridalen in Oslo.
The emergency services informed about the incident just after 6 pm on Friday afternoon, and there was a large crew working to get control of the forest fires.
– We get help from an emergency train through Bane NOR, a so-called fire train. At the moment, there are two places burning, between Oset and Sandermosen station, says Eirik Sundt Fredriksen, duty commander at Oslo 110 central, to Dagbladet.

Two areas
The forest fire in Nordmarka was spread over two areas very close to each other. One an area of about 100 square meters, while the other of about 200 square meters, the Oslo police inform on Twitter.
– There are no nearby buildings and thus no need for evacuation. No injuries were reported, they reported.
On Friday, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute raised the danger warning for forest fire danger to orange, which is the second highest level, for large parts of Eastern Norway.
Tor Gulbrandsen, operations manager in the Oslo police, told Dagbladet that there were both ground and air resources on the way to the fire area.
– It is difficult to say the degree of severity, but seen in light of the danger of forest fires, we will describe it as serious, he said.

Gjøvikbanen closed
Bane Nor states that The Gjøvik line is closed between Oslo S and Nittedal as a result of the fire along the train tracks. They warn that there will be a new update at 21 o’clock.
– There is a relatively high degree of severity here because there are fires in several places along the Gjøvik line, said duty commander Hans Erik Tysdal in the Oslo fire and rescue service to NTB.
– It is very dry in the area, so there is a danger that this may spread. This is in the woods and outfields so far, so there is no question of evacuation, Tysdal told the news agency.
