TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Legal Counsel for the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission Firli BahuriIan Iskandar denied his own statement about his client not knowing the Chief Executive of the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI). On Tuesday, October 29 2023, Iskandar stated to the media crew that Firli did not know Alex, following allegations of renting a house on Jalan Kertanegara Number 46 was financed by Alex. Iskandar stated that Firli did not know Alex because technically the person who took care of the house rental was Andreas through Ray White.
“That’s wrong. I don’t know the owner of the house, but Mr Alex does. “Yes, maybe there was a misrepresentation at that time,” he said.
Previously, the Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) Boyamin Saiman revealed Firli’s track record with Alex, after allegations emerged that the house rental fee of IDR 650 per year on Jalan Kertanegara Number 46 was paid by Alex.

“MAKI found a photo that took place in 2019 when Firli was thankfully appointed Kabaharkam (Head of the Security Management Agency) after becoming South Sumatra Regional Police Chief. “So before being appointed as Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission, there was a thanksgiving and there was Alex Tirta,” said Bonyamin in his statement, Thursday, November 2 2023.
This, said Bonyamin, refutes the statement by Firli’s lawyer, Ian Iskandar, who said that Firli did not know Alex, and also strengthens the various things that should be investigated in the alleged rent for Firli’s house being paid by Alex.
“Because Firli’s lawyer’s statements are many different and contradictory. In fact, it seems that Alex Tirta admits that he knows Firli Bahuri. But Firli’s lawyer said he didn’t know. “This is something that must be studied properly,” he said.
