Our editorial team has dealt with the purchases of the Czech Post several times. For example, it was about contracts for various strategies or consultations, we also wrote about a party for employees for more than 150 thousand crowns. We have now noticed a number of contracts for designer furniture to be fitted out to certain branches.
Česká pošta has been cooperating with Interier Říčany for many years, the first contract can be traced back to 2016. There are a total of 148 of them. We will focus on the newer ones.
In 2023, the mentioned entities together concluded 35 contracts for more than 17 million crowns. The subject of the contract is similar for all of them: Delivery of design furniture, delivery and installation of interior furniture or office furniture.

The last one was closed on September 19, and the furniture for 1,255,240 crowns went to the post office in Nové Jičín. Specifically, it concerns various shelves, chairs, cabinets or trash cans. The mentioned mail has a very bad rating, which is mostly repeated. It is said that only a few of the nine windows are always open, and there are few parking spaces, crowds of people and long waiting times. The branch in Nové Jičín earned 2.4 stars out of five.
Drawers and shelves
On the same day, a contract for 912,640 crowns was concluded. This furniture will go to Havířov. Although the office there has a better rating by 0.3 stars than the one in Nové Jičín, some people refer to it as “the worst post office ever.” Complaints often appear that, although a person is waiting for a package or letter at home, they find a notice in the mailbox about storage at the branch.

The third contract, which Czech Post signed on September 19, is for designer furniture in the amount of 1,197,020 crowns. He heads to Ostrava. The post office there has the worst rating so far, only 2.3 stars.
The fourth contract from the same day also related to furniture. This time for 109,650 crowns and the furniture will go to the administration department in Brno. Specifically, it will be three counters, three desks, two chairs, three cabinets, one drawer and one shelf.
A fifth furniture contract was also concluded that day. And again it was a branch of the post office in Havířov, now in the amount of 685,690 crowns.
The Česká pošta in Havířov thus has new furniture for 1.6 million crowns.
In total, the company spent more than 4 million crowns on furniture in one single day.
