Thiruvananthapuram – The owner of the contract company made a serious disclosure that he had demanded that a portion of the road camera project be paid towards the cost of obtaining continued administration. James Palamutham, Chairman of Light Master Lighting India Private Limited, who received the purchase order in the project, disclosed this to Manorama News.
In the camera project, the commission asked in various ways. The Commission is at the official and government level. It is reported that the cost of Rs 151 crore is inclusive of commission. The purchase order was for purchasing equipment at a cost of 75 crores out of the project amount of 151 crores. A portion of the remaining amount should be paid as commission. OB Ramjith, the director of Prasadio company, who is accused of having relations with the chief minister’s relative, has asked the commission including the officials to agree that 60% of the remaining amount should be distributed to Prasaddio and 40% to Light Master.
Another revelation suggests that the commission is not only given to bureaucrats, but also to leftist parties.
Allegations related to continued administration are serious in two cases. First, all these discussions are taking place with just seven months to go before the assembly elections. Second, it is alleged that the director of the Prasadeo company, in which the chief minister’s relative is said to be involved, asked for money on behalf of the Left government. The Light Master Company explains that due to disputes in such financial transactions and Prasadio not accepting the equipment purchased for the project, it had to withdraw from the contract.
