MOSCOW – A member of parliament Russia reportedly said that the Embassy (Embassy) United States of America (USA) in Kiev had to be destroyed in retaliation for Washington’s supply of rockets to Ukraine .

Deputy Chairman of the Russian parliament’s Defense Committee, Yury Shvytkin, told Russian news outlet Lenta.ru that the delivery of the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) to Ukrainian troops shows that the US is moving step by step towards a Third World War.

Kiev on Thursday said that the first batch of systems had arrived and more rocket launch systems were expected from Western allies.

Shvytkin said Moscow should respond strongly to all countries supplying Ukrainian troops with weapons to fight Russia and Moscow forces should not just destroy infrastructure.

“I think the main decision-making center is the US Embassy. I think sooner or later this will become a target for the Russian armed forces,” he said, as well as for Russian-backed forces from the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.

“My position is that it is necessary to destroy the government headquarters in Kiev,” he added.

“Yes, this work is being carried out by the Ministry of Defence, but a larger attack needs to be carried out,” he said NewsweekFriday (24/6/2022).

HIMARS is a powerful long-range weapons system that Kiev hopes can help turn things around in its fight against Russia. Ukraine says the system is needed to counter Russian rocket systems used in the eastern Donbas region.
