GUADALAJARA, Jal., May 27, 2022.- If you are 18 years old or older and four months have passed since the application of your last vaccine against Covid 19, it is time to go get your booster.
Starting next week in Jalisco, the Pfizer-BioNTech laboratory vaccine will be applied to this population group, and you can go without an appointment to any of the active modules in all regions of the state.
This was reported by María Elena Pajarito Melchor, Coordinator of Social Determination in Health of the Jalisco Health Secretariat (SSJ), explained that there is a Pfizer-BioNTech booster vaccine available for people 18 years of age and older who have completed four months of your last vaccination.
At the same time, the days continue to supply the biological against Covid 19 to adolescents between 12 and 17 years old.
In this case, first and second doses are available; as well as boosters or extra doses for adolescents who have completed five months since their last vaccination.
For adolescents residing in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, there is the option of going to the Benito Juárez Auditorium, in Zapopan, or to one of the health centers by appointment or without an appointment, Monday through Friday from 09:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. .
“We already have a few weeks applying the first and second dose for adolescents; but now we also have the reinforcements. Any adolescent who already has their second dose or complete schedule and who has completed 5 months after that second vaccine, already needs a booster”.
Pajarito Melchor invited both adolescents and people 18 years of age and older to complete their vaccination schedule and go for their reinforcement in the health units of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area and all the regions of Jalisco.
“Vaccines, as we know, have a temporality in which they maintain perfection in protection; As time goes by, the antibodies can gradually decrease, so the ideal is to apply a booster so that we have better protection,” the specialist pointed out.
To obtain the appointment, enter the vaccination.jalisco.gob.mx portal and choose one of the Health Centers that are displayed there or the Benito Juárez Auditorium.
