Continued Influx of Ukrainian Citizens into Belarus: Latest Report from Belarusian State Border Committee

Citizens of Ukraine continue to arrive in Belarus. This was reported today, October 13, by the Belarusian State Border Committee.

“Since the beginning of the year, 47,028 citizens of Ukraine have entered our country: in transit through Poland – 34,413, through Lithuania – 10,424, through Latvia – 2,186, through Ukraine – 5,” the message says.

It is noted that “in total, since February 24, 2022, 121,732 citizens of Ukraine arrived in Belarus from Ukrainian territory: across the Ukrainian-Belarusian border – 15,895, in transit through Poland – 80,918, through Lithuania – 20,574, through Latvia – 4,345.”

Let us remind you that Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022. Belarus does not officially participate in it. Despite this, Kyiv has closed its borders with Belarus and is not allowing its citizens into the neighboring republic. At the same time, the Belarusian authorities say that they are ready to accept into the country everyone who is fleeing hostilities.
