The pattern remains unsettled with chances for storms in the afternoon and evening into Wednesday before we finally have a front strong enough to move through and clear things up. It will get cooler starting Thursday.
NEW YORK — After a stormy Friday and Saturday, the trend of daily rain could continue in parts of the tri-state area on Sunday and Monday, the commemoration of 9/11.
Not all areas will see storms on Sunday, but localized flooding is once again possible where storms decide to establish themselves.
Damaging winds are less of a concern today, but watch the weather because any strong storms could produce short gusts.
Basically, the pattern remains unsettled with chances for afternoon and evening storms into Wednesday before we finally get a strong enough front to move through and clear things up. It will get cooler starting Thursday.
Will rain affect Sunday’s Yankees or Giants games?
Any storms on Sunday will be more scattered in nature, so it’s a little trickier to say where the storms will appear, but it’s possible we could get just as much rain for the Brewers vs. Yankees in the Bronx for Sunday night’s Cowboys vs. Giants at MetLife.
