Iran threatened to attack again Israel. But until now, Iran continues to use other groups, never attacking Israel directly.
The latest threat emerged recently, when the commander of Iran’s Quds Force, Esmail Ghaani, said that the Hezbollah group would attack Israel.
“The children of Hezbollah are making plans to launch the final blow against the Zionist regime [Israel]and to realize Imam Khamenei’s wish, which is to completely erase Israel from the map and the face of the Earth,” said Ghaani, Friday (5/8).

“The path of the honorable martyrs will continue until the destruction of the enemy of the Islamic system” [Iran].”
Again, Iran used Hezbollah to attack Israel. They never actually sent military troops, or fired missiles directly into the country.
Iran International reported, Iran has been supporting a number of militias that often attack Israel, such as Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, as well as the Houthis in Yemen.
So, why didn’t Iran attack Israel directly?
Professor of Middle East studies from the University of Indonesia, Yon Machmudi, said that Iran wanted to avoid international criticism that could increase sanctions on Tehran.
“Iran does not want to carry out a direct attack because it wants to avoid international criticism that could increase sanctions on Iran. Proxy war is Iran’s choice,” Yon told reporters. CNNIndonesia.comTuesday (9/8).
“Iran seeks to have sanctions on its nuclear program lifted and tries to convince the international community that its nuclear program is not for building military weapons.”
Currently, Iran is being shackled by a number of international sanctions for violating the 2015 nuclear deal.
Furthermore, Yon also said that the battle between Israel and Iran is more towards a proxy war, in which the two countries use other areas to attack each other.
In addition, Yon explained that the war between Israel and Iran was more of a proxy war. In a proxy war, the two countries use other territories to carry out activities to attack each other.
In recent years, Syria has become one of the areas of a proxy war between Iran and Israel.
“Iran with its Revolutionary Guards is carrying out an international mission in mobilizing militias in various countries to carry out acts of resistance against the US and Israel,” he said.
