Menstrual precariousness is an important public health and solidarity issue. It concerns nearly 2 million women whose access to sanitary protection is difficult or impossible for primarily financial reasons. 1 girl out of 10 misses school because of menstrual precariousness.
This is why the Conseil de la Vie Lycéenne has continued the work begun in 2021 by allowing the installation of 2 new distributors of free eco-responsible sanitary napkins, financed by the Pays de la Loire Regional Council. From now on, the Cité scolaire has 5 distributors.
For information, 4500 towels were consumed this year by the 830 girls of the Cité Scolaire.
