Swedish game team Landfall, which has always launched many imaginary games, launched the horror live broadcast simulation game “Content Warning” in April to make a bold limited-time free strategy, and this bet obviously paid off successfully, because after the limited free period ended, the game was released in a week. Domestic sales reached 700,000 units.
According to the official announcement of Landfall, “Content Warning” has sold more than 6 million copies of the game on Steam during its 24-hour limited-time free release period. At the same time, the game’s attention has also reached a peak of 200,000 online hits on Steam.

Although the backend data shows that the game has been claimed 6 million copies, Landfall team members are actually making a bet. CEO Wilhelm Nylund told foreign media that they are all worried that once the game is charged, no players will be interested in it.
However, the next day, the background showed that “Content Warning” had sold more than 100,000 units in one day, and an additional 125,000 units were sold the next day, exceeding 700,000 units in one week. “When the game was charged that night, we all had a sense of risk.” Nylund told PC Gamer “We were like, OK, we can relax,” he said.
Landfall revealed that more Content Warning updates will be released, but the studio’s other major project, Haste: Broken Worlds, will also continue to be developed.
