Conte is starting to realize that joining Tottenham was a mistake?

Spurs have lost three times in a row in the Premier League. They have also lost five of their last eight matches in all competitions. Tottenham are currently in 8th place in the Premier League with 36 points.

Conte blamed Tottenham’s transfer policy in the January transfer window that made it difficult for him to increase the level of play for his children. Tottenham only brought in two players, namely Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus.

Conte is starting to realize that his philosophy is at odds with the Tottenham owners Daniel Levy. Levy wants to build a future team with young players. Meanwhile, Conte wants to bring his team to excel.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes Conte made a big mistake by joining Tottenham. He mentioned whether Conte did not get support to strengthen the team. This seems to have just been realized by the former Juventus manager.

“It’s very confusing where Spurs are at the moment and it’s like he just realized. He turned them down in the summer. They said about him not being able to get the coaching staff, (in this job) that matched what he wanted.”

“But what I heard from interviews and everything I read from Antonio Conte right now, that’s not what he expected.”

If Conte fails to lift Tottenham’s performance at the end of this season. Joining Tottenham could be a mistake that will tarnish his career. The reason is, this 52-year-old man previously had a flashy career with Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan which he brought to become league champions.
