Contamination of La Veveyse River in Paccots: Wildlife Warden and Police Intervene

The wildlife warden and the Friborg cantonal police intervened in Paccots (FR) on Tuesday around 1:15 p.m. because the La Veveyse river in Châtel was contaminated. On the spot, it was found that it was pollution by drilling mud coming from a company which carried out work in the region of the “hollow of the tables”, in Paccots, specify the authorities Wednesday.

A cleaning truck was commissioned on site to clean up the river. The ecosystem has been affected, but no fish have been observed for the time being. The company will be denounced to the Public Ministry.
