Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced this Sunday extension of containment linked to the new coronavirus at least until June 1, when he hopes to be able to gradually reopen stores and primary schools.
“Although we have made progress in meeting at least some of the conditions I have set, we have not fulfilled them all. So this is not the time this week to end containment” decreed in late March said Boris Johnson.

However, he says he aims to reopen shops and primary schools “at the earliest in early June”, and certain bars and restaurants in early July. He also announced his intention to soon establish “a quarantine for people who enter this country by plane”.
