Gwyneth Paltrow (50) has on several occasions received criticism and created headlines for her health and lifestyle habits.
In 2008, she launched the wellness brand Goop, and has previously released her own scented candle called “This smells like my vagina” (“Dette lukter som vaginaen min” in Norwegian).
Sharing sad news
In January, she again faced a lot of criticism for promoting Goop’s seven-day “Detox Diet Plan”, which included recipes for, among other things, making only “one type of meal a day”.
Now she is receiving criticism again after guesting on the podcast «The Art of Being Well». There she goes into detail about when and how much she eats every day, writes Independent.
Prioritize «detox»
Paltrow says she usually drinks coffee and celery juice with lemon in the morning to keep her blood sugar from spiking.
Paltrow also shares that she is very fond of soup, and that she often eats broth for lunch.
Butchered: – Just nonsense!
The 50-year-old also reveals that she eats dinner at 6 p.m. every day, and that then it involves a lot of vegetables, because “detox” is important to her.
Paltrow’s diet has found its way to TikTok, and dietitian Lauren Cadillac has caught on.
Cadillac is very critical of the dietary routine, and points out that Paltrow did not mention any food for breakfast.
Responding
The nutritionist allows himself to be shocked by the actor’s diet, and Paltrow’s lunch in particular gets carried away.
– Beef stock is NOT a proper meal. There is not enough food. She eats nothing, says Cadillac.
The expert Kim Lindsay is also critical.
– Received treatment in the ass
– Paltrow promotes many restrictive diets, such as replacing meals with low-calorie liquids (coffee and broth). We know that diets are unsustainable and can lead to an increased risk of chronic disease and eating disorders.
Lindsay believes it is important to stop sharing misinformation about healthy diets, and says that people often search for nutrition information online.
– This misinformation creates confusion about what a healthy and balanced diet looks like. People believe these restrictive eating practices will make them healthy. While there is nothing wrong with the food Paltrow eats, the problem is how little she eats and how much she limits everything. There is nothing healthy about it and it should not be promoted as a healthy diet.
