The Philips Standing Fan 2000 Series is basically exactly what the name suggests: a fan that stands on a high leg. Because of that extra height, it has a greater range than small fans on a foot. In fact, the 2000 Series has a range of up to thirty meters. This way, you have a nice cool breeze throughout your home – very pleasant during a hot summer.
But that’s actually doing the fan a disservice. The 2000 Series is a real 2-in-1. You can just as easily shorten the stand to make it a table fan, which you can place on your desk or coffee table. The fan is also designed in such a way that it fits seamlessly into any interior.
And you don’t have to worry about it bothering you. The blades are made according to SilentWings technology. This is a technique based on the wings of an owl, which can fly silently through the air. The blades are therefore 30 percent quieter than a regular fan.
Add to that the silent mode, which keeps the fan running even softer for half an hour, and you have the ideal bedroom companion. You can also choose one of the three normal settings, and there is a special mode that simulates a natural breeze, so it almost feels like you are sitting on the beach.
