New York, (June 2/23). The consular headquarters hosted this Thursday, June 1, the Dialogue on Climate Change and Biodiversity: Challenges and Opportunities for Afro-descendant Communities as Central Defenders of the Environment.
The event, which was organized by the Colombian Embassy in the United States and the Natural Climate Solutions Research Program of the MTI ESI, included the participation of the Colombian Ambassador to the United States, Luis Gilberto Murillo; the Colombian Ambassador to the United Nations, Leonor Zalabata; Kelvin Alie Senior Vice-President, Conservation International and Founding Member AIFCC; Amara Enyia, Member of the UN PFPAD and President Global Black; Epsy Campbell, President of the UN PFPAD and Founding Member AIFCC; Marcela Ángel, director of the MIT ESI Natural Climate Solutions Research Program, and Andrés Mejía, Consul General of Colombia in New York.
