Raleigh.- Jorge Archila, the Guatemalan consul in Raleigh, leaves his diplomatic position after eight years of work in North Carolina.
This is because he has been entrusted with other diplomatic work by the government of his country and confirmed that he is leaving his position in the Consulate General of Guatemala and Raleigh.
“I was recently appointed ambassador of Guatemala to the United Arab Emirates and I will soon leave to assume this new position,” Jorge Archila wrote in a farewell email to his contacts and friends.

In this way, the consul pointed out that during all these years that he was working in NC, he always found “support, collaboration and friendship.”
“It is with mixed emotions that I announce the conclusion of my mandate as Consul General of Guatemala in Raleigh after 8 years of service,” said Archila Ruiz.
He also noted that together with the Guatemalan community in NC, they managed to promote and strengthen “invaluable relationships that I will always cherish.”

“While I look forward to this new chapter in my diplomatic journey, I will always carry fond memories of the work we did together and the people I had the privilege of meeting here,” Archila said.
And finally he pointed out that he wants the relations between his country and NC to remain strong and solid.
“I am confident that the ties between Guatemala and North Carolina will continue to prosper and I hope that our paths will cross again in the future,” Jorge Archila concluded.
