As part of an initiative organized by the Society of Consuls of New York, Consul Andrés Mejía, accompanied by his counterpart members of this body, visited the city’s operations center, where the police authority shared its experience in security and anti-terrorist actions.
During the visit, the consul was able to observe the more than 6,000 powerful cameras that are part of the city’s security system and highlighted that knowing about their operation is vital when situations of insecurity and order arise in each of the consulates. .
Additionally, during the meeting the consulates were invited to promote a series of community programs and services promoted by the police department that focus on youth that seek to contribute to their motivation and mental health.
