The Attorney General and Head of the Public ministry, María Consuelo Porras, asked that public force be used in the face of the demonstrations calling for her resignation.
The attorney general and head of the Public Ministry (MP), María Consuelo Porras Argueta, presented an amparo before the Constitutional Court against the president, Alejandro Giammattei, the Minister of the Interior, Napoleón Barrientos, and the director of the National Civil Police, Edwin Adriano López to use the public force in the face of demonstrations.

The preventive action seeks that the president and the rest of the officials adopt preventive measures to safeguard the independence of the MP, which has been violated by the use of different social networks used by people who identify themselves with users of the X social network, and other social networks.

The attorney general points to accounts identified as Bernardo Silva, Vicente Carrera, Virginia Estrada, Sergio Yoel Morataya, Gerardo Guerra, Juan Francisco and Samuel Bernardo for being behind calls for demonstrations in front of the MP headquarters.
