In Loire-Atlantique, construction workers and landscapers can now eat warm, in a restaurant room. It is a decision of the Loire-Atlantique prefecture. For this, the businesses and restaurateurs must sign a partnership.
How it works ?
To sit at a restaurant table at noon, the worker must show a document signed by his employer. A “fixed-term contract for provisional collective catering service“, which must then be sent to the Nantes Saint-Nazaire CCI.
In addition, the restaurateur can claim the employee’s professional card. “Impossible to croak”, insists Hélène Beck, general delegate of the French Building Federation for the Loire Atlantique, who also underlines the initiative of the prefecture: “For weeks, workers have eaten outside, yet in the building trades, often difficult and physically, the lunch break is very important to regain strength.”
To make the link between construction companies and restaurants, the French Building Federation is thinking of an interactive map.

Men who can no longer bear to eat in the cold. “It’s very difficult for the older ones, especially with the temperatures of this month of January “. So this young woman hurried to find a restaurant open for lunch: “Depending on the sites and establishments open, some of them can eat warm, they are very happy”.
Restaurants for some already open for truckers. This concerns 16 establishment in the department of Loire-Atlantique.
