Due to work on the overhead line, the U79 cannot run as usual between the “Freiligrathplatz” and “Duisburg, Kesselsberg” stops from Thursday, August 8th, 4 a.m., to Wednesday, August 14th, 4 a.m. Coming from Düsseldorf city center, the trains run from the “Messe Ost/Stockumer Kirchstraße” stop along the U78 route and end at the “Merkur-Spiel-Arena/Messe Nord” stop. Coming from Duisburg, the trains heading towards Düsseldorf end at the “Duisburg, Kesselsberg” stop, turn around and drive back. On the closed section between the “Messe Ost/Stockumer Kirchstraße” and “Duisburg, Kesselsberg” stops, buses are used instead of trains.
