“Construction work disrupts train travel on RE18 route between Cottbus and Dresden”

There is construction work on the RE18 route between Cottbus and Dresden. Other lines, such as the RE11 or the RE15 from Hoyerswerda to Dresden, are also affected. What do travelers have to be prepared for during the construction work?

On the route from RE18 von Cottbus after Dresden and RE15 from Hoyerswerda to Dresden it comes from Saturday, May 20, from around 3:30 p.m. until Sunday, May 21, 2023, around four a.m and from Sunday, May 21, from about 7:30 p.m. to Monday, May 22, 2023, until about 4 a.m to restrictions.

● RE11 (Leipzig – Hoyerswerda) not applicable between Elsterwerda-Biehla and Hoyerswerda

● RE15 (Hoyerswerda – Dresden) not applicable between Grossenhain Cottbus station and Hoyerswerda

Sometimes you even have to take two different bus connections in a row, for example to get from Cottbus to Dresden on Saturday evening. The RE18 (6:16 p.m.) from Cottbus runs to Senftenberg. There you have to change to the bus to Ruhland, which takes 19 minutes.
