Once fully completed, the Amazon campus will house the largest data center campus ever built in the state. Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb recently announced Amazon Web Services’ plan to construct their data center campus near New Carlisle. Alongside this significant investment, the project is expected to create approximately 1,000 highly skilled jobs, ranging from analytics to construction. This move is projected to bring about substantial economic growth at both local and state levels.

Carl Baxmeyer, St. Joseph County Commissioner, stated, “This is a single largest investment in Indiana history, so we are ecstatic over this. When we use the term transformational, it really is transformational for this county.”
Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb further echoed this sentiment, affirming the project’s significant impact. “This is the ‘mysterious’ Razor 5 development, which has been subject of reports and discussions for months, from WSBT 22. It represents a colossal $11 billion plan that underlines the largest capital investment in the state’s history,” Governor Holcomb said.
