This Tuesday morning, a construction machine damaged a gas pipe during remediation work on avenue de Montferrat. A 50-meter security perimeter was established by the emergency services.

At around 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning, a construction machine damaged a 30 mm gas pipe at medium pressure (4 bars) during sanitation and drinking water work at 695 avenue Montferrat in the town of Draguignan.

Since the incident took place in an urban area, a 50-meter security perimeter was immediately put in place.

Time for the GRDF agents to block the gas installation.

The gas supply is temporarily cut off for several nearby homes.

Sixteen Var firefighters are also on the scene, aboard an ambulance and three fire engines. The intervention is still ongoing.
