Construction projects in Cologne much more expensive than planned – Rheinland – Nachrichten

If, for example, a school is to be renovated or rebuilt, the council politicians have to decide that. The city administration then calculates the expected costs. But they are getting completely out of hand, especially at around 30 current construction sites in the education sector: the administration has already put the additional costs at more than 200 million euros.

Other projects are also much more expensive than expected: the renovation of the adult education center’s study house or the repair of the show greenhouses on the Flora by around one and a half million euros each.
