Minister For Public Works and Human Settlements (PUPR) emphasized that his party wanted to continue to develop the line South Beach (pancella). However, the construction costs are not small.
“That we want to build, want to develop this South Coast crossing road. Of course from a technical point of view the financing and cost and implementation will be bigger,” said the Director of Region I Road and Bridge Preservation, Akhmad Cahyadi, when inspecting the Pansela route in Kebumen Regency, Central Java , Saturday (21/1/2023).
Cahyadi said that the total length of the Pansela line is similar to the Pantura line. The track is also winding, which makes the development of this line will be very expensive.
“Its length is almost the same as the Pantura (North Coast), but if we look at the geographical conditions it is very difficult. There are traffic that goes up and down, those that go up and down. penetrate mountains and so on,” he said.
For the time being, said Cahyadi, there are several road sections on the Pansela route which are programmed to be constructed in 2024. Later there will be widened road sections and the contours of the track will be made more sloping.
“But for widening, we make it wider. Then alignment the road, up and down we are flatter. We are indeed programming it in 2024,” he said.
Cahyadi reiterated that the Pansela line development program costs a lot. But he said the construction program is likely to start next year.
“The cost is higher, it is also still in the programming process because we are making plans, we are budgeting, maybe next year we can do it,” concluded Cahyadi.
It is known, the Directorate General of Land Transportation along with the National Police Traffic Corps, the Directorate General of Highways, and PT Jasa Raharja conducted a survey of the South Coast route (Pansela). This was done to check for deficiencies that exist in this path.
Pansela is an alternative homecoming route on the island of Java. While the other two routes are the North Java route (Pantura) and the Central Java route.
