Kupferzell Project developer Transnet comments on the schedule for the planned construction of a giant battery in Kupferzell: The excavators are not expected to move in until 2023 at the earliest. In the meantime, the lawyer commissioned by the municipality has filed an objection to the Federal Network Agency’s refusal to inspect the files.
Many questions are still unanswered – but time is becoming increasingly scarce: the giant battery planned in Kupferzell is to go online in 2025 in order to test the “Netzbooster” concept as a pilot project as an element of a safe, ecological and affordable power supply of the future. The project planner Transnet has now confirmed to the Hohenloher Zeitung: The construction work for the booster will be able to begin “in 2023 at the earliest”.
