Amroha. The construction of the multi-purpose sports hall to be built at a cost of Rs 8 crore in Sports Stadium Malikheda has not started yet. Whereas, Rs 3.88 crore has been released to the executing agency as the first installment of the budget. The responsibility of its construction has been given to UPPCL. It is being told that the process of preparing DPR is currently being completed.
To hone the talent of young players, a multi-purpose hall is to be constructed in the sports stadium Malikheda. After the proposal for construction of the hall was sent to the government, it was also accepted by the government. The responsibility for the construction of the hall was given to Uttar Pradesh Project Corporation. The multipurpose hall is to be constructed at a cost of Rs 7.76 crore. The government has also released Rs 3.88 crore of the first installment for the construction of the hall to the executing agency. Even after more than two months, its construction has not started. It is being told that at present the process of preparing DPR is being completed. District Sports Officer Deshkant Tyagi said that the officials of the executing organization have also inspected the land for the hall. Construction work is expected to start soon.
Multipurpose hall will increase facilities
According to the District Sports Officer, facilities for many sports will also be increased in the multipurpose hall. If the folding court is ready, then under indoor sports, games like basketball, badminton, hand ball, kabaddi, table tennis, tennis, wrestling etc. can be organized in the hall. After one game, the court can be changed immediately for another game. Due to which the players will not face any problem.
