A tall construction crane partially collapsed in a Manhattan neighborhood in the heart of New York on Wednesday, hitting an adjacent skyscraper and causing debris to fall onto the streets.
Four people were slightly injured by the spectacular fall of the arm of a crane, which occurred shortly before 1:30 p.m. after a fire in the cabin of the machine, said the New York authorities.
On social media, vivid videos of the crash showed the crane arm collapsing on a nearby glass building, and residents running through the streets to escape the debris.
