After a bloc of the Republican Party, the Social Christian Party and the People’s Party, presented a Constitutional accusation against Minister Carlos Montes regarding alleged direct dealings by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning to the investigated Living Democracy Foundation, headed by militants of the ruling party, Democratic Revolution (RD).
Regarding the libel, Montes expressed himself calmly, stating that this case “is in the hands of the lawyer who represents me. The commission started working today (yesterday) and we will see how that develops,” he stated.
Yesterday it was learned that Minister Montes had filed a complaint about this case to the Northern Prosecutor’s Office. Regarding this, the head of the Housing portfolio stressed that “the obligation of a public authority when it receives a complaint is to have the corresponding organizations take it forward,” said the authority.
A case that has brought blows. In fact, a few days ago, the former Antofagasta Housing Seremi, Carlos Contreras (former RD), was formalized for fraud against the treasury.
